BMES would like to thank everyone that attended the Student/Faculty soccer game last Friday. It was an exciting game with the professors and graduate students barely winning, with a final score of 6-5, just as the pizza arrived. Hopefully, next time more undergraduates will be able to attend and give the professors and grads stiffer competition. There are pictures of the game on the BMES website under the gallery tab. We would also like to thank Dr. Rubin for his comments before his presentation on Monday. The game was alot of fun despite the swollen lips and verbal abuse. Thanks again to those who came and we hope to see alot more of you at next game.

We will be at the table from 12-2:30pm, if you would like to help at any time during this session. Thanks for your help and sorry for the late notice.

Welcome back to Stony Brook! I have a few quick bits of information to share with you. First, for anyone who applying for travel grants for National BMES, the chapter number necessary for the application is 68. Second, the year's first job fair is rapidly approaching! In coordination with that the CEAS department and all Engineering clubs will be putting together a breakfast mixer in order to give engineering students the opportunity to meet company representatives in a more personal setting. Anyone that would like to attend the Breakfast Mixer on the morning of September 23, please respond to this email with an attached copy of your resume.
Finally, every year Professor Rubin holds a seminar series bringing some of the fascinating minds of science to our campus. Attached to this email is the list of all speakers that will be attending this year's seminar. It is highly encouraged to attend this seminar.
